  • Create positive learning experiences for each student
  • Foster constructive work habits and study skills
  • Encourage a life-long love of learning
  • Pursue individual goals through self-discovery and experiential, constructivist methods
  • Develop attitudes and practices that support a healthy lifestyle
  • Involve parents in all aspects of teaching and learning
  • Search for knowledge beyond the limits of the classroom, through field trips and technology

Cultural Relevant Pedagogy/ Anti Bias Anti Racist.
CRMA is committed to providing a Culturally Relevant Pedagogy (CRP)/Anti Bias Anti Racist (ABAR) education and utilizes literature at all grade levels, from the perspectives of the Global Majority, whose narratives are often left out, even in our Montessori curriculum. We began three years ago with African American studies and are currently in our first, of two years’ focus on Latinx studies. Our Accreditation team under the leadership of Tammy King, along with our entire staff, recently revised our school’s mission statement to reflect our commitment to Social Justice. This process was done collectively with the teachers at the forefront, as we engage through the year long self study for Accreditation.
