Although most of his family is from Ocala, Florida, Mr. Wood is a native Miamian, and was one of the first students to graduate from Miami Killian High School. He retired from working at the Bureau of Prisons in 2003, where he served in the capacity of General Foreman and Facilities Manager. Mr. Wood has been at Coral Reef Montessori for almost six years now, and he is responsible for the overall operations of the building, upkeep, grounds, maintenance, and overseeing the cleaning of the facility. He has one daughter and a new grandson (turning one in November of 2011) who live in Ormond Beach, FL. In his spare time, Mr. Wood enjoys fishing and listening to music—jazz and rhythm and blues are his favorite genres.
